1.ANZAC PARADE WALK – a 2,5 km long self-guided walk that captures many historical and nationally important sites. The visitors Parliament House – the symbol of Canberra, built in 1988 and Australian War Memorial where the names of every Australian who has died in war since 1885 are inscribed in bronze on the walls of the colonnades.
2.LAKE BURLEY GRIFFIN
Lake Griffin is an artificially created city lake is a masterpiece of Canberra and a popular leisure activity location. There are cycling trails, ferry rides, walking tracks, picnic areas across 6 islands within the lake. Visitors are free to kayak, row, paddleboard and swim, of course. Captain James Cook Memorial is built on the Lake Griffin, it stands to the honour of Captain Cook who recorded the first sighting of the Australian East Coast of Australia.
3. AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL BOTANIC GARDEN

Canberra`s most famous markets are an absolute must! Try freshly roasted coffee, good selection of local wines, fantastic local and international food and all you would expect to find at a market (Sundays only).
6. CANBERRA NEW YEARS EVE OR AUSTRALIA DAY FIREWORKS
Witness ACT`s spectacular fireworks, when the city lights up over Lake Griffin. Canberra New Years Eve or Australia Day fireworks – the choice is yours.
7.WINE TASTING
Take a wine tour through Canberra`s renowned wineries; Capital Wines, Mount Majura, Lerida Estate and Pankhurst Wines will surely not leave anyone disappointed, and the best time to visit is autumn!
8.CANBERRA BALLOON SPECTACULAR
Each March, about 50 balloons launch daily before the sunrise (around 6 am) at Old Parliament House. The fiesta is held over 15 days in a row. Visitors are free to take a ride themselves and enjoy the best views of the city.
